senior portraits? maybe

Thiel is turned the senior portrait into an in class assignment. Ones for fun (guitar hero) and the the I toiled over endlessly. I dunno, I'm not excited about either of them :P I will keep on trucking!

I wish that the top ones background was in watercolor i think it would be more cohesive. I like the second one because it has this fun quirkiness to it. The top one just isn't there yet to me. Maybe it's because of how symmetrically it is with the pattern and the figure. OOO just noticed, with your pattern it ends right on the edge. moving it over just a little bit might be the best quick fix. And actually the vector stuff behind doesn't bother me that much when i don't look at the full size, maybe just tone down that top section around the chicken it's so saturated compared to the rest of the piece, and you might want to soften or cut the extra paper around the chicken off. I keep getting drawn to it because its only on the sides.

I definitely like the stylized one in illustrator at the bottom. Its clean cut and has nice solid shapes/colors. Even though the chicken is pretty amazing in the first one, My eye is drawn more to the second one. Good job! I haven't even began to think about senior portraits yet.
