Erni and Edwin

I feel like my children's book is being neglected on my blog so... here we go. Today I started the final art work for it, if its confusing I posted the line drawing with text at the bottom. Basically I blocked everything in today.

The owl (Edwin) who's playing hop scotch is the most hammered out in the rendering/color sense. I enjoy the blue in the grass but I think it's a bit strong at the moment. Most of these colors are my "undercolors" ...kinda like underwear, I just build on top of them. :P As always, with any piece, comments, criticism and hellos are most welcome.

ooo nice colors as usual. really like the purples, pinks and blues. overall strong composition. i am thinking though - perhaps you could give a separate color or value to the hopscotch setup on the ground? either a lighter green or a different color entirely. nothing that would stand out too much, though, of course. but that's really all i have to say. perhaps you're not even done with it and planned to do that anyway, which in that case i'd just be running my mouth. ha.
see you in class later!
